From campus advertiser to marketing manager — with clients of her own

Before Gradezilla

Jana came in already moving fast: a master’s graduate of Antonine University and an advertiser at CIS College. She wasn’t new to digital marketing — which made her the hardest kind of student to impress.

Why Gradezilla

A friend who had taken the course kept pushing her toward it — especially the Meta certification and Canva tracks. Jana wanted two things: to sharpen her skills, and to build a business of her own.

What surprised her

Not the ads or the tools — she says everything felt smooth. What stuck was the part most courses skip: customer service and the lesson on value — what actually makes a client choose you, and come back. “Companies compete over that one thing,” she says. “It showed me you really understand what you’re teaching.”

The moment she proved it

During an agency internship, a client campaign was stuck — and the team on site didn’t work with paid ads. Jana spotted the problem in minutes: there was no Meta Business Portfolio access at all, only a Facebook page connection. She fixed the setup, saved the situation with the client, and walked out with her skills proven in front of everyone.

Where she is today

Still at CIS College — and now Marketing Manager for her family’s business, Lebanon Hospital in Sanaa, Yemen, running the whole marketing department remotely from Lebanon. On the side she freelances for businesses rebuilding after the war: some clients ads-only, others full account management — content, posting and ads — with her own small team of a video editor and a graphic designer. And she’s back reviewing the course material for one reason: to sit for the official Meta exam next.
